Repellets – Compact Insect Repellent Wipes

Repellets are compressed insect repellent wipes that are activated with a splash of water, expanding out into a large wipe, allowing you to quickly apply a highly effective insect repellent onto exposed areas of skin.

Instead of carrying a bulky bottle of repellent (that is mostly filled with water or aerosol propellant), a pack of 6 Repellets is extremely compact; it will even fit in your wallet, and at only 15g you’ll barely notice it.

Unlike liquid repellents, Repellets are physically incapable of leaking; finding your carefully-packed clothes soaked in insect repellent isn’t a good way to start a holiday. With no compressed gas or large volume of liquid, they are very airline-friendly.

Skin wipes work particularly well to reduce insect bites; along with leaving repellent on the skin, the wipes help to remove some of the attractive chemical compounds our bodies naturally produce – the chemicals that insects use to find their next meal.

Containing Citrepel 75, a plant-derived repellent, with a high percentage of PMD (p-menthane-3,8-diol), and proven to have repellent activity similar to the well known synthetic repellent, DEET. It works to repel a wide variety of insects; mosquitoes, midges, ticks, sand flies and horse flies. The formula also benefits from the inclusion of copaiba balsam, a natural tree exudate, which has been traditionally used as an insect repellent in the Brazilian rainforest and is also rich in β-caryophyllene, which has a soothing effect on the skin – perfect for calming any pre-existing insect bites.

Some insect repellents absolutely stink. Repellets, however, use a lower odour repellent which has a mild citrus note, and combined with the gentle warming rainforest scent of copaiba, we think it’s actually quite nice.
